28歳。ドイツの削ろう会に参加。 各国の職人とともに森に鳥居を建て、言葉や文化を越えて手仕事の可能性を体感した。

Joined a small international carpentry gathering, building a traditional Japanese–German hut using only hand tools. As one of the master builders, led craftsmen from across borders, bringing the structure to life. 

手道具のみで日本とドイツの伝統的な小屋をつくる、小さな削ろう会へ参加。 棟梁の一人として、国境を越えた職人たちの手を束ね、かたちにした。 

Founded Hishida Komuten, and from the early days, has spent time in Belgium each year. Through architecture, daily life, and dialogue with people, had quietly absorbed a European sense of beauty.

At 43, Commissioned by Lore and Klaas in Belgium to redesign a historic house. The project is set to begin construction in 2024.

An SH project that brings forth a refined space through handcraft, using natural materials such as wood, earth, and stone. It embodies Shohei Hishida’s essence—spaces that deepen in character and beauty over time.

Joined the barn-raising of the Lore and Klaas residence as a carpenter, alongside craftsmen from across Europe. With gratitude for the many connections, devoted the full skill to a building of lasting value.

Joined the Sweden carpentry gathering in 2025, building a structure with over 70 craftsmen from 16 countries using only hand tools. 

Sweden削ろう会2025に参加。16カ国70名以上の職人とともに、手道具のみで一つの建造 物をつくり上げた。はつりから建前までを共に行い、技法も言葉も異なる中で、手仕事へ の敬意が響き合った２週間。 

Created a collaborative artwork with artist Mago Nagasaka. A first exploration of translating carpentry into art, the piece evolves as if breathing in dialogue with the surrounding forest. 

アーティスト長坂真護 とのコラボレーションアートを制作。大工の手仕事を、アートとし て形にする初めての挑戦。森の自然環境と呼応しながら、作品そのものが呼吸するように 変容していく。
